CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:11 pm and held at the City Hall Conference Room 202, 10 Main Street North Adams.
READING AND APPROVAL OF RECORDS
There was no quorum. Unable to approve the minutes from September 28, 2015 and October 19, 2015.
Dan Daisy stated that we are continuing to track well within the PFA budget approved by MSBA.
A. Construction Status Update – provided by Dan Daisy
a. Exterior Restoration: Face brick installation at new east entry ramp/ stairs. Performing exterior punch-list work.
b. Elevator: Complete and passed State Inspection on 10/29/15.
c. Electrical: Gym Theater lights, ground floor finish details. Continue Building Management System Programming.
d. Plumbing: Miscellaneous punch list.
e. HVAC/ Mechanical: Start-up and Commissioning of HVAC equipment.
f. Sprinkler: Complete, tested and system filled. Fire alarm test passed on 10/26/15.
g. Drywall: Miscellaneous sheetrock in Gym corner rooms. Punch-list items.
h. Wood Doors: Wood doors and hardware installation continuing on ground floor.
i. Painting: Painting in Gym and stairwells. Finish paint punch-list on all floors.
j. Windows/ Sunshades: Window caulking/ exterior punch-list. Miscellaneous interior glazing.
k. Curtain Wall: Curtain Wall installation complete. Water and air infiltration test passed on 10/22/15.
l. Carpentry/ Millwork: Finish Carpentry and millwork punch-list on lower floors.
m. Plaster: Miscellaneous plaster punch-list.
n. Resilient Flooring: All resilient flooring installed except for 5 rooms on the ground floor where moisture is still too high to install.
o. Terrazzo: New terrazzo finishing at entry areas. Terrazzo buffing and polishing completed on the first and second floors.
p. Acoustic Ceilings: Acoustic ceiling grids punch-list.
q. Roofing: New knee wall and roof membrane (change order work) installed on the low south roof. Finish all copper copings/ flashing.
r. Site Concrete: Concrete work completed at new east entry stairs/ ramp.
s. Site: Asphalt paving and striping complete.
t. Fencing: Permanent site fencing and wood guardrails installed. Change order for additional fencing along the north slope of Dr. Carver’s property.
u. Gym Flooring: Gym sub-flooring currently being installed. Hardwood flooring start this week.
v. Landscape/ Plantings: New trees and landscape plantings being installed throughout the property.
w. Furniture: Furniture deliveries started 11/2/15 and will continue for 2-3 weeks.
B. Update by PDS
No one from PDS attended the meeting.
C. Other concerns
JWA still looking into options for exterior padding at new playground walls.
JWA and Colliers witnessed/ verified the cleaning of suspect areas with mold/ mildew.
The status of the memorial trees at Sullivan was discussed. Mayor Alcombright stated that the trees will not be re-located but the memorial plaques have been removed and will be installed into a display in the main vestibule at Colegrove Park Elementary School.
Michele Vareski asked if there was an electrical outlet in Room 020 (PTG) for appliances (refrigerator etc.). Colliers verified that there is an electrical outlet in Room 020.
Mayor Alcombright discussed holding two additional walkthrough’s in late November/ early December. The first walkthrough would be for Sullivan Parents, students and staff. The second meeting would be for the general public.
The next meeting will be November 16, 2015 at City Hall in Conference Room 202 (second floor) at 5pm.
