Unapproved Minutes:

Date: January 22, 2018 @ 6:00 pm at Law Library City Hall

Committee Attendance: Rick Wood, Tim Koperek, George Canales, Mark Vadnais, Kate Galli, Robert LeClaire

Guests: Mike Nuvallie, David Willette, Erin Booth, and Tammy Daniels

Reading of Minutes from Nov 13, 2017 –Minutes approved.

Open forum:
* Erin Booth addressed the commission on youth baseball needs. Plans are to continue to use Fallon Field and Kemp Park. Erin expressed that the youth baseball is interested in having the lights from River Grove Park moved to Fallon Field. We will bring to this matter to the attention of the Mike Canales City Administrator.

Old Business:
* Walking Track at River Grove Park near dog park fence is not finished and needs to be made a complete paved loop.
* Joe Wolfe grandstand alterations area need to be in compliance with ADA rules. A plan is in place with Westhall architects for this renovation.
*Freeman Field questions still lingering. When is the city going to remove dugouts and replace it with fence?

New Business:

* Joe Wolfe Field Splash Park, Phase II also includes a new double basketball court, bocce and pickle ball courts, and reconfigured walking track. The tennis court will be removed and replaced with another basketball court. Funding has been approved and construction is anticipated to begin this summer. The project is slated to be completed by summer of 2019.
* The Lafesta Baseball exchange team will hold its 100th game on July 21 and July 22, 2018 at Joe Wolfe Field. Joe Wolfe Field will not be available those dates for other events.

The new phase at Joe Wolfe Field includes splash park, basketball, bocce and pickle ball courts, a reconfigured walking track.
