READING AND APPROVAL OF RECORDS
Minutes from the November 16, 2015 meeting were not approved due to no quorum.
Andy Gentile from Colliers stated that overall the budget the numbers look good and we are still on track. No changes since our last meeting. We have started paying invoices for the furniture that has been arriving.
A. Construction Status Update – provided by Andy Gentile
Building is almost complete. The gym has been stripped and coated. We are still waiting on the bleachers and mats. The kitchen ceiling should be completed this week. CTC is running all the mechanical to flush everything out. The projectors have been installed in the classrooms. OT/PT staff came in today to review all their orders and plan where placement will be.
Mayor Alcombright clarified the rumors about the building having leaks and water coming in. There was an area, approximately 10 feet, in which water has been gathering when it rains and runs into the boiler room and kitchen storage room. The contractors had followed the plans for waterproofing when the north wall of the gym was excavated but the plans did not include this 10 foot section. They will be waterproofing the area in the next couple of days and testing to make sure it does not leak. The cost is $21K mostly for labor.
B. JWA Update
Margo Jones stated they are ready to issue the certificate for substantial completion tomorrow, December 1st. She went through the list of what needed to be done and most have been completed. The kitchen ceiling and waterproofing were changes that were added after the list had been issued. There is still one ERV unit that has not been stated and will be started 12/1. Margo has also requested a plan from PDS for a final cleaning.
C. Other Concerns
Mayor Alcombright would like the tour for Sullivan students and parents to be held on December
9th for grades K – 3 and December 10th for grade 4 – 7, 6pm – 7:30pm
The next will be December 14 at City Hall in Conference 202 (second floor) at 5 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:29 pm
