Commission on Disabilities
The Commission on Disabilities consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council. Members serve three-year terms and require reappointment by the Mayor and again confirmation by the Council. Vacancies may be filled through the same process, but only for the balance of an unexpired term.
Through advocacy and education, the Commission works to raise awareness pertaining to the needs and rights of persons with disabilities, and the importance of accessibility to pubilc entities. It collaborates with City officials, in particular the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Coordinator and the Access Compliance Inspector, to foster overall equity and inclusion in all aspects of community life.

Meetings
Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the Council Chambers of City Hall. A ramp is located at the front entrance of the building. Once in the building, the Council Chambers is located to the left on the first level.
